CHUNCHEON PUPPET FESTIVAL

To Sunday: Puppeteers from many nations have gathered in Chuncheon to share their passion for this art. The festival, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, features 10 teams from abroad including Canada, the United States, Russia and Japan, and as many as 70 professional and amateur Korean teams. In addition to performances, auctions, symposiums, workshops and paper art classes for children will also take place.

RAFTING TRIP

Friday to Saturday: IMU (I Am You) is a multicultural social club welcoming people of all nationalities and ages who wish to enjoy a richer, more comfortable life in Korea. The club has organized a rafting trip for all to enjoy cool water amidst nature’s beauty. During the trip, participants will have a chance to visit the tomb of Danjong, the sixth king of the Joseon dynasty. The trip costs 120,000 won ($102) per person.
