Oct. 2: “French Night: Gala Dinner and Charity Party.” This gala dinner is part of the ongoing French wine festival. Fashion shows of designer Lee Kwang Hee’s apparel and a charity auction will also take place during the party. Proceeds go to the North Korean Children’s Heart Disease Relief Fund. Tickets can be purchased for 150,000 won ($128) at the Shilla Hotel or by calling organizers.

LOTTE HOTEL SEOUL

Oct. 1 to Oct 25: “Oktoberfest in Seoul.” The Bobby London English pub is celebrating the German partying tradition. Servers in traditional costume will provide German beer and foods. A number of events including beer-drinking and dance contests are also planned. Drawings will provide chances to win free dinner at the Lotte Hotel’s La Seine buffet restaurant and free tickets to the Halloween party and a golf driving range.

CHARITY GALLERY OPENING

Thursday: The first charity gallery shop in Korea, Hong, holds its opening day party. The mission of this store is to support and circulate new artists’ works. Performances by independent singers and bands, an art auction and food will round out the celebration, starting at 6:30 p.m.

FREE KOREAN FILM SCREENING
