YOUTH CLIP INTERNATIONAL FAIR

Today to Thursday: Information provided on overseas volunteering, camps, internship opportunities and work experience programs. College students are the target market, but lectures (including from a former Unicef representative), anecdotes from globetrotters, drawings and the chance to be photographed wearing traditional costume will attract all ages. Events run from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

ANIMATION WORKSHOP

Monday: Martine Chartrand, animation director of the National Film Board of Canada, will lead this lecture and workshop at the Korea Academy of Film Arts. Chartrand won the Golden Bear award at the 2000 Berlin International Film Festival for his work in “Black Soul.” He also won for best animation at the Santa Barbara (California) International Film Festival. While this lecture is part of a three-day workshop reserved for Academy students, the public is invited to the event opener. Chartrand will introduce techniques used in his work, and answer questions about animation, his career and related subjects. The lecture starts at 9 a.m.

ALTERNATIVE SPACE POOL

To Sept. 30: “Mioon.” Kim Min’s and Choi Moon’s joint video installation places viewers into positions of active involvement or passive observance, examining collectivism in society through the loss of individual identity. “Karaoke Project #1” is the exhibition’s featured piece.

SEJONG GALLERY

To Sept. 29: “Mo Yong Soo.” This exhibition presents works made from Korean natural resources, expressing both humor and innocence. Familiar scenes of nature are rendered using mother-of-pearl on Korean paper.
