KTF offers early retirement
KTF, the second largest high-speed Internet service provider, said yesterday that it will receive applications for early retirement from its workers. Those at director or higher level who have been working at the company for at least two years are eligible, about 1,200 in total. “The company expects that only some dozens of workers will apply for early retirement,” a KTF official said. “It is not part of a large-scale restructuring, but to eliminate overlapping positions created by two mergers.” KTF is a merged unit of Korea Telecom M.Com and KT Freetel in May 2001. In March, KTF merged with its subsidiary KTICOM.
