Daum enters Net auction market
Daum Communication Corp., the operator of a Web portal site, has entered the Internet auction market. Daum said yesterday it had opened an auction site called Open Market (omp.daum.net). The site has goods both for sale and up for auction. Daum said it would allow sellers to put goods up for auction free of charge for the next six months. Daum said it would also open an auction section on its popular Daum Cafe Web site, which has 26 million subscribers, where goods listed for auction on the new site would also be featured.
