Now showing: cell phone movie
A movie premiere will be coming to a cell phone near you for the first time. SK Telecom customers will be able to see a movie called “Igong,” or “Different Space,” on their phones before it comes out in theaters. The movie is an omnibus of films by 20 different directors and will be showing at theaters later this month. “This is the first time for a premiere of a new film on mobile phones,” a SK Telecom official said. “Mobile phones are acknowledged as new-media equivalent to television or movie theaters.” Earlier, a singer debuted through KTF’s mobile service in August before her first TV performance in September.
