Ministry takes control of all science projects
President Roh Moo-hyun yesterday accepted a request by the Ministry of Science and Technology that the ministry take full control of budget funds earmarked for supporting research. The ministry will also be responsible for the evaluation of government research projects. “In the future, the Science Ministry should broaden its outlook on planning and implementing science, technology, industrial and labor policies in research,” President Roh said.
