IT fund audit begins
The Board of Audit and Inspection said yesterday it has begun an audit of the “Informatization Promotion Fund” of 2.3 trillion won ($1.9 billion). The National Assembly, in a rare step, asked for the investigation in December, claiming that government agencies wasted the funds, which are to be used to promote the competitiveness of information technology firms.
