Samsung CEO donates for science program
Yun Jong-yong, vice chairman and chief executive officer of Samsung Electronics Co., has donated 100 million won ($85,616) to initiate a project to interest children in science and technology, in partnership with the National Academy of Engineering of Korea. Samsung Electronics, LG Corp., Hyundai Motor Co. and Posco said they would jointly support the project, which is aimed at reversing young Koreans’ declining interest in entering the fields of science and engineering.
