Hanaro Telecom names new head finance officer
Hanaro Telecom, a telephone and Internet service provider, appointed a 43-year old woman as its top financial officer yesterday. Janice Lee, a former vice president at Volvo Construction Equipment Korea, is the first woman to become a chief financial officer in the telecommunications sector in this country. After graduating from Ewha Womans University in 1983, Ms. Lee received an MBA at Cleveland University. She also holds a public accountancy certificate.
