CJ Internet signs pact
Korea’s CJ Internet and Japan’s Softbank Group, an Internet service provider and portal, signed a memorandum of understanding in Tokyo yesterday to jointly invest in CJ Internet Japan, an affilate of the Korean game portal. CJ Internet said it plans to begin services of its Net Marble game division in Japan in December. This marks the group’s official launch into the Japanese online game market. Chief executive officer Bang Jun-hyuk and Softbank president Son Jung-eui attended the event.
