Hanaro names new chief executive
Hanaro Telecom Inc., Korea’s second-largest provider of high-speed Internet access, appointed Kwon Soon-yub as chief executive officer. Mr. Kwon was selected at a board meeting yesterday, the company said. The graduate of Seoul National University law school previously served as executive vice president. David Yeung, a managing director at American International Group Inc.’s investment unit, headed Hanaro after former chief executive Yoon Chang-bum quit in August. Hanaro on Sept. 12 said it accepted resignations from nearly half its 55 executives who quit as part of a restructuring.
