To March 9: The Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Mediterranean dining restaurant Cilantro will hold a special week-long promotion featuring the cuisine of Malaysia beginning tomorrow. The Malaysia, Truly Asia promotion will be in addition to Cilantro’s regular buffet offerings. The foods served range from appetizers to entrees including slow-cooked beef with spices and coconut milk. To round out the meal, enjoy assorted desserts including stewed yams.
Lunch costs 38,000 won, and dinner costs 41,000 won for adults. Sunday brunch, available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sundays, is 41,000 won for adults. All prices are subject to additional service charge and VAT.

Monday To March 10: Grand Tables Association presents “Restaurant Week.” Twenty-two member restaurants located in Cheongdam-dong including Seasons, Grill H, Tani and Yum China are participating in this event, which promotes high quality dining culture to the public. Nomadic bistro Tani’s special dinner course menu offers duck breast pastrami with acacia honey, caramelized apple in cream cheese salad and deep-fried shrimp with agedashi tofu, followed by a choice of sirloin steak or roasted black cod with Japanese miso, a sushi dish, topped off with coffee or tea. Each restaurant has prepared a special a la carte menu for the event, and more details can be found at www.grandtable.co.kr. The set price for lunch is 20,000 won and dinner is 30,000 won.

To April 30: The Brasserie, a buffet restaurant, features a variety of fresh vegetables at the Spring Green Buffet. This is an opportunity to enjoy alfalfa, broccoli, buckwheat and red cabbage sprouts. The cold food corner offers a lighter selection such as sashimi, sushi and soba. Hot menu selection includes Mongolian BBQ as well as pasta, roast chicken, salmon and beef. At the section buffet, try savory escargot, chicken with fragrant herbs, or various salads. The spring promotion is available all day, and different kinds of vegetables will be introduced each week at the evening buffet. Lunch costs 41,000 won and dinner is 48,000 won including service charge and VAT.

Tuesday: Grand Hyatt Seoul is holding a Wine Maker’s Dinner for only one night. The menu features wines from California’s Wente Vineyards, established in 1883. The Grand Hyatt’s chefs prepare a six course gourmet dinner, showcasing six different Wente wines.including Riva Ranch Reserve Chardonnay 2003. They have been carefully selected and transported directly from Wente Vineyards to complement the evening’s dinner menu, with the main dish being Australian beef tenderloin with seared foie gras. Eric Wente, president of Wente Vineyards, is the host of the evening. The price is 155,000 won, inclusive of tax & service charge. The dinner, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be held on the 2nd floor of the Grand Hyatt Seoul in the Namsan III room.
