Stefano Gallo and Bava Winery meet at Park Hyatt Seoul.

Friday: The Japanese restaurant Shunmi at the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam is holding a “Wine Maker’s Dinner” with wine expert David Deboer from the wine label Delicato. Mr. Deboer, vice president of Delicato, will demonstrate wine tasting with five different types of Delicato wines including Delicato Chardonnay and Clay Statino Viognier.
Shunmi’s head chef, Mr. Hong Suk-do, will create a seven-course Japanese fusion dinner to match the Californian wine selection, featuring duck delicacies, sausage with foie gras, eel and scallop sushi with the chef’s special soft shell crab roll, basil and lime sherbet with pomegranate, tartare and consomme and baked sea urchin souffle.
The price for dinner is 80,000 won for Shunmi members and 100,000 won for non-members. Early reservations are recommended as the seats are limited to 80 guests. Dress code is smart casual.

April 3 to 8: The Michelin star chef Stefano Gallo and the flavorful Bava Wine come to the Park Hyatt for a Pimontese culinary festival. The “Wine Dinner at the Cellar” and “Wine Maker’s Dinner at the Salon” will be held throughout the week, featuring Chef Gallo’s rich Northwestern cuisine including asparagus cooked in three different styles, cannelloni pasta with braised oxtail and spinach in foie gras sauce, baked rack of lamb with a hazelnut crust in honey sauce and spring vegetables. This will be complimented with a selection of Bava wines. The restaurant also has an “Italian Afternoon Tea Cooking Class” with a guest chef who will introduce Italian appetizers, snacks and desserts that suit the afternoon tea session, and“Italian Weekend Brunch”with a variety of unique Italian dishes.
Prices range from 50,000 won to 180,000 won according to the occasion. Event venues and times also vary. Contact the hotel for further information.
