Traditional Italian Lasagna at Grand InterContinental Seoul.

To April 30: Cafe Espresso at the Seoul Grand InterContinental Hotel presents a variety of traditional Italian lasagna dishes. The selection includes classic baked lasagna with bolognaise sauce, seafood lasagna with prawns, scallops, mussels and salmon in tomato and herb sauce, lasagna verdi with spinach pasta and meat sauce, and lasagna alfredo with sauteed chicken breast and mushroom in a garlic cream sauce. A unique dessert, chocolate lasagna with hazelnut mascarpone cream, vincotto and chocolate sauce will be another treat for guests. Of note is that pasta noodles will be made from the chef’s own home recipe, sure to enhance the freshness and flavor.
Prices range from 18,000 won to 20,000 won excluding service charge and VAT.

Millennium Seoul Hilton
April 19 to 25: Season’s, the French restaurant at the Millennium Hilton, presents a celebration of French delicacies with “Foie Gras Pour Les Gourmets.” This event offers foie gras dishes a la carte and also specially designed menus. The highlight of the promotion is the Opening Gala Dinner with guest chef Jean Caille to be held on April 19 at 7 p.m. The dinner features a seven-course menu of foie gras terrine with truffles, carpaccio of scallop with spiced foie gras, soft-boiled egg with foie gras and brioche, and tartar of blue fin tuna with foie gras and sesame seed, with wine pairing. Chef Caille will be extending his culinary services from April 19 through the 25th.
The gala dinner is priced at 158,000 won and other foie gras dishes are priced from 13,000 won to 36,000 won. All prices are exclusive of service charge and VAT.

April 20: Renaissance Seoul’s Manhattan Grill hosts the “Santa Carolina Wine Maker’s Dinner.” Wines from Chile will be paired with a six-course menu of sauteed jumbo scallop chili and spring noodles, cream of fastsia shoots with romesco, fresh half lobster with organic green salad and strawberry dressing, grilled Australian wagyu beef tenderloin and semi-dried tomato with Gruyere cheese and green asparagus served with red wine jus and Manhattan cheesecake with cherry sauce, prepared by executive chef Joerg Hontheim. The reception starts at 7 p.m. with Santa Carolina chardonnay, and there will be five other wines for tasting. Dinner price is 90,000 won excluding service charge and VAT. Reservations are recommended.

Ongoing: Imperial Palace Hotel’s Chinese restaurant Cheonsan invites businessmen for lunch specials on weekdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch Set A offers hot and sour soup, seafood and vegetables, shrimp with chili sauce, steamed red snapper and strawberry dessert. Equally inviting is Set B, with corn and crab soup, shrimp with XO sauce, fish with garlic sauce, beef and bell pepper and peach dessert. Set A is 39,000 won and Set B is 34,500 won excluding service charge and VAT.
