Steak lunch special at COEX InterContinental Seoul

Ongoing: JW’s Grill, the JW Marriott Seoul’s grill restaurant, is offering “New Arabian Cuisine,” the award-winning new cookbook from the chefs of the JW Marriott. With influences from Lebanon to India, an Arabian meal can be a cultural experience. JW’s Grill offers a menu that is as full of surprises as a Middle Eastern marketplace. The appetizers and soups (10,000 won to 23,000 won) range from citrus-cured Alaskan salmon tartar to scallops with cinnamon and orange.
The highlight dishes are grilled Australian wagyu filet mignon with red wine butter sauce, caramelized endive, parmesan asparagus and sauteed potatoes (39,000 won to 47,000 won, depending on size). Fish and side dishes also are available, as are deserts. Choose between pear mousse with saffron-flavoured sesame crispy biscuit and pomegranate jelly (14,000 won), pink grapefruit gratin with honey and vanilla bean (13,000 won). All prices exclude service charge and tax.

To May 31: A “Steak Lunch Special” is featured at the COEX InterContinental Seoul’s Sky Lounge (30th floor). Guests can dine on quality Australian steak along with their selections from the salad and dessert buffets. The Australian beef has been carefully selected and steak will be barbecued in the traditional way to improve flavor and juiciness. Customers may choose from a selection of steak dishes, such as slow roasted Australian beef tenderloin with mushroom duxelle and macaire potatoes, grilled Australian beef sirloin with grilled prawns, avocado and hollandaise sauce or Australian beef tenderloin and Cajun seasoned roast potatoes and roasted garlic.
The steak lunch special is available at lunchtime and the price is 30,000 won excluding service charge and sales tax.

Novotel Ambassador Gangnam
To July 2: The Lobby Lounge at the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam presents its “Special Afternoon Attraction, Crepe,” a French style pancake made with white wheat flour, milk and egg.
This classic French delicacy is popular throughout the world, especially in Japan. In Korea, crepe, is one of the popular substitutes for breakfast for businesspeople and a quick meal choice at major hotels. All crepe is served with a dressing such as chocolate, honey almond, blueberry and orange. The new crepe menu at the lobby lounge includes crepe for around 9,000 won and crepe with a choice of various teas at around 14,000 won, excluding a 10 percent tax.
