Lunch features fresh white asparagus cream soup, and Australian charcoal-grilled Black Angus beef sirloin in green peppercorn sauce with potato cake and buttered white asparagus. Dinner offers goose liver terrine with smoked salmon and white asparagus in vinaigrette, seared sea bass fillet and lobster tempura with white asparagus in caviar sauce, and more. The price is 80,000 won for lunch and 120,000 won for dinner, excluding service charge.

The fish set includes sea eel noodles, braised tilefish, mudfish hotpot and several types of sashimi for 120,000 won. The soba set features sashimi, fresh vegetables, chestnuts and dessert for 90,000 won. And there are a range of a la carte soba noodle dishes which are priced from 20,000 won to 30,000 won. To June 30: Hakone, the Japanese Restaurant at the Grand InterContinental Seoul, will be featuring sea bass kaiseki dishes and sea bass ice sashimi for the month of June. One of the traditional Japanese-style cuisines, the sea bass kaiseki menu has five courses, accompanying sea urchin eggs, tofu, eel and mango. The five courses are clear sea bass soup, sea bass sashimi and broiled sea bass with pumpkin, braised sea bass with carrots, mushrooms and sea tangles. Japanese udon with sushi will be prepared as a main course.
The price of the a la carte menu is 39,000 won and the kaiseki menu is 130,000 won excluding service charge.

To June 30: The Atrium Cafe at the Grand Hilton Seoul is offering a special Australian lamb menu this month and in June. The "Grand Hilton Australian Lamb Experience 2007" features a range of lamb dishes from orange braised lamb shank to Mediterranean lamb kebab.
The grilled zucchini, buffalo mozzarella and lemon-thyme smoked lamb loin are 18,000 won. Other options include almond- and herb-crusted lamb chops on leek and mozzarella risotto fritter for 28,000 won, and Mediterranean lamb kebab with roast eggplant salad and charcoal grilled Capsicum salad for 19,000 won.
