Fish Craft at Renaissance Seoul

Ongoing: Man Yo, a Japanese restaurant at the Imperial Palace Hotel, provides a two-course breakfast meeting menu from 7 to 10 a.m. on weekdays. One course is a rice set consisting of thin strips of squid, toasted seaweed, steamed egg, grilled fish, boiled fish, bean paste soup, rice and dessert.
The second set also includes abalone porridge and Japanese-style kimchi. Prices are 28,000 won ($30) and 32,000 won respectively, excluding tax and service charge. Booking is essential.

To Aug. 31: The Manhattan Grill at the Renaissance Seoul Hotel presents a seafood festival, Fish Craft. The dishes are sauteed blue crabs and beef tenderloin with a romesco sauce of chili peppers and almonds and grilled halibut with white wine crab sauce. The Fish Craft for two is a combined appetizer with marinated octopus, shrimp cocktail, salmon and scallops served with an olive tomato salsa and garlic bread shards. To August 31: Tao-Yuen, the Chinese restaurant at the Seoul Plaza Hotel, offers a Chinese cold noodle special menu.
The set menu includes Chinese cold noodles dressed with seafood and kiwi cream sauce, steamed shark’s fin, eel, spicy shrimp meatballs and song-i (pine) mushrooms with beef.

The six-course dinner, which is priced at 120,000 won, will include grilled tiger prawns with potato fondant, vegetable BBQ sauce, baked whole sea bass with vegetables and two kinds of wine, J. Moreau & Fils Chablis (78,000 won by bottle, 19,800 won by glass) and JM Brocard Chablis Premier Cru Montmains (118,000 won by the bottle, 29,800 won by the glass).
