The 3,500-won bibimbap is a treat at Korean Traditional Mart. [JoongAng Ilbo]

Looking out the window, you see the jet taxi away and take off from the runway.
Having seen off your loved ones at the Incheon International Airport, you feel somewhat lonely and hungry.
You look around for a decent restaurant but hesitate because the prices are generally higher than elsewhere in the city.
Not to worry. Korean Traditional Mart, a restaurant located at the ground floor of the International Terminal, offers a variety of light Korean dishes at a reasonable price.
Even though this restaurant is small, customers still visit because of the relatively cheap prices and convenient location. A dish costs 2,500 won ($2.72) to 3,500 won.
Ramen with eggs and slices of green onion is 2,500 won; bibimbap (a Korean specialty of rice mixed with vegetables) is 3,500 won. In the city outside the airport, bibimbab normally costs 4,000 won to 5,000 won. Inside the airport, it is even more expensive ― 7,500 won to 10,000 won.
Cheap prices don’t mean cheap ingredients, though. Korean Traditional Mart uses fresh vegetables for bibimbap, including radish shreds, bean sprouts, bracken and lettuce. The sunny-side up fried egg on the top adds a nice flavor.
Their 2,500 won vegetable kimbap (seaweed roll) is a delicacy too. Just one roll will fill your stomach after watching your friends depart.

Korean Traditional Mart (032) 743-3471 is open from 7 a.m. to 8:50 p.m. every day except New Year’s Day and Chuseok holidays.
