Sept. 7: The Renaissance Seoul Hotel presents a German gourmet dinner in its Diamond Ballroom. German Executive Chef Joerg Hontheim will offer a six-course menu accompanied by German wines. In the offering, trout tartar on a white wine sabayon, braised quail breast, roasted veal rack encrusted with herbs and Valrhona chocolate tart are prepared. Wines, such as Riesling, Markus Molitor Gutsrieslig 2004, Anselmann Dornfelder Barrique and Piesporter Goldtreppchen Spaetlese are available. The dinner will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are 99,000 won ($105) including tax and service charge.

Lotte Hotel Seoul
Monday to Friday: Toh Lim, the Chinese restaurant at Lotte Hotel Seoul, has invited Chef Sam Leong to present the “New Art of Chinese Cuisine.” The chef has won many awards. Chef Leong will present new Chinese cuisine cooked with Oriental and Western ingredients. Lunch and dinner menus will be served at 80,000 won to 150,000 won. A special gala dinner is offered at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, available by reservation only. The gala dinner costs 200,000 won on Wednesday and 400,000 won on Friday. Hours are noon to 3 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.

Hyatt Regency Incheon
To Sept. 16: The Terrace Garden at the Hyatt Regency Incheon presents the Garden Barbeque.
Set A costs 54,000 won and Set B, is 72,000 won, including beer and wine. The guests can have a free summer cocktail at Vy bar. The Garden Barbeque is held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The garden is open until 10 p.m., but on Saturday it closes half an hour later.
Prices do not include tax and service charge.

Grand Intercontinental Seoul
Ongoing: Table 34, the Grand InterContinental’s restaurant, features prize-winning dishes for guests.
The hotel won the top prizes in the eighth Black Box Culinary Challenge.
To celebrate, Table 34 presents the prize-winning menus.
They include an appetizer of smoked lamb souffle flavored with lamb, oven roast lamb collar with green papaya ice, two styles of oysters, blade beef with asparagus royal, layered potato cake and baked chocolate cream cheese.
The dishes cost 85,000 won, but a guest can add three glasses of wine for an extra 45,000 won. Hours are noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 10 p.m.
