Lotte Hotel Seoul
Monday to Dec. 4: The Lotte Hotel Seoul will feature "Thai Cuisine Festival" at La Seine and a royal Thai gala dinner at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Astor Room on the 36th floor.
The festival will have the theme of “Loi Krathong,” a traditional Thai festival celebrated annually at the end of November to bid farewell to the year by floating lotus flowers shaped like candles.
Local chefs from Thailand have been invited to Lotte Hotel Seoul. The royal Thai gala dinner offers seven courses paired with five wines. The price is 150,000 won ($162) including tax and service charge. At La Seine, Thai chefs will conjure up Thai dishes in the open kitchen. Thai cuisine has a variety of fried dishes using oyster sauce and curry dishes drawing influence from China and India.

Millennium Seoul Hilton
Dec. 6, 7, 8: Seasons, the French restaurant at Millennium Seoul Hilton, will host the "49th Gourmet Circle Dinner." The Gourmet Circle Dinners are offered four times a year to welcome the new seasons. The evening will start with a champagne reception at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a seven-course meal with wine. The dinner costs 150,000 won per person. Advance reservations are required by calling.

Ongoing: The COEX InterContinental Seoul Lobby Lounge upgrades its “Wonder Hour” event. The hotel is offering unlimited draft beer, wine and a snack buffet from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday to Saturday. A four-piece jazz band will perform starting at 6:30 p.m. The price is 17,000 won and does not include include tax and service charges.

JW Marriott Hotel Seoul
To Dec. 31: Manho, the Chinese restaurant at JW Marriott Seoul, features “Shanghai Special." Shanghainese chefs, masters in the art of braising and stewing, will offer lunch specials with a variety of seafood, including abalone, shark fin and stir-fried seafood on king prawns.
For the dinner special, crab is offered on the seven-course menu. Sweet and sour flavors are harmonized in dinner B, available for 140,000 won.
That selection offers sea cucumber and abalone on sweet pumpkin, steamed beef sirloin and chicken wonton soup. The dinner prices range from 65,000 won to 140,000 won.
Prices do not include service charges and tax.
