Asiana ups flights from Seoul to Jeju
Asiana Airlines, Korea’s second-largest airline operator, said it will increase the number of its flights from Seoul to Jeju Island to meet growing demands of travelers. The company said yesterday it would start on Jan. 20 gradually increasing the number of its flights from Gimpo Airport to Jeju Airport, especially those from on Sunday afternoons. The company said it would eventually add 112 new flights, with 46,528 seats, each month beginning in March after it places a new 191-seat A321 aircraft in the route in the same month.
The company said the change would also help the island achieve a proclaimed goal to attract 5.7 million tourists this year.
