블랙캡

요즘 LTI는 배기가스 규제가 느슨한 남아공과 나이지리아 수출에 열을 올리고 있다. 특히 눈독을 들이는 곳은 중국. LTI는 올해부터 지리(吉利)자동차와 연간 블랙캡 2만 대를 공동 생산하기로 했다. LTI는 “블랙캡이 중국에서라면 10년간은 끄떡없을 것”이라고 장담한다. 런던에서 사라지는 블랙캡이 머지않아 상하이의 명물로 둔갑할 판이다. 지구온난화가 세상을 바꾸는 한 단면이다.
