Lower Toefl test fees could be on the way
Educational Testing Service, a U.S. English test provider, said that it will consider lowering the fee for Toefl, the Test of English as a Foreign Language.ETS executives said in New Jersey on Saturday that the company may refer to the currency situation of respective countries and impose fees in terms of the currency of each country, instead of in dollars. Currently the Toefl fee in Korea is $170, against $150 in the U.S. Due to the weaker won against the dollar, it is more expensive for Koreans to take the test and Korean students have complained about the high amount.
