Employees at the Korea Nuclear Energy Foundation volunteered for construction work at the “Village for Hope,” helping to build homes for people who don’t yet own their own in Mokcheon-eup, Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, on Sept. 25. The volunteer group consisted of 39 employees from the Electric Energy Pavilion’s Seoul and Daejeon branches, and carried out vital tasks such as delivering soil and hardening the ground at the construction site.

On the day of volunteering, KNEF Chairperson Lee Jae-hwan presented a donation to the Cheonan Asan branch office of Habitat for Humanity to solve housing problems facing low-income families.

Chairperson Lee said, “To do our utmost to fulfill our social responsibility as a public institution, we have been implementing a volunteer system for all employees, so that each employee will do two volunteer works, such as building a ‘love house’ or supporting a company-designated daycare center.” Lee added, “We will continue to expand our social responsibility work in various ways so that all our employees can participate voluntarily.”
