Millennium Seoul Hilton

To April 30: The Oak Room, the Millennium Seoul Hilton’s traditional English-style bar, is hosting its Carvery Wine Buffet to warm up guests as the winter season approaches.

From 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays through Saturdays, the Oak Room will feature a buffet with soup and bread, mixed green salad, onion salad, mashed potatoes, hot and spicy chicken, basmati rice, kimchi and German sausages.

For the main course, guests can choose from juicy rib eye and roast leg of lamb, both hand-carved by the chef. Dessert includes pudding as well as homemade fruit cocktail.

To accompany your meal, you can choose from an unlimited bounty of wine, draft beer and soft drinks.

The cost is 33,000 won ($27.81).

Lotte Hotel Seoul

Today to Thursday: The hotel is currently hosting the World Master Korean Table, an event where internationally renowned chefs from around the globe present dishes inspired by Korean cuisine. The star chefs participating at this year’s event are Pierre Gagnaire from France, Massimo Bottura from Italy, Corey Lee from the United States and Luke Dale-Roberts from the United Kingdom.

The event is part of the 2009 Amazing Korean Table, a gourmet festival co-hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Ministry for Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The goal is to brand Seoul as a culinary and gourmet city and to promote hansik (Korean cuisine) to international chefs, food lovers and the culinary world in general.

Grand InterContinental Seoul

Friday: The Grand InterContinental Seoul’s bar and lounge, Blush, will present a special event titled “Stylista Party” starting at 10 p.m. on Friday and lasting until 4 a.m. the next morning. The party is being held to help promote Blush and also celebrate the new seasons of “America’s Next Top Model” and “Project Runway.”

The special event will include wide selections of canapes that are personally prepared by the chefs of InterContinental Hotels Seoul. Guests receive a complementary vodka cocktail as well. Throughout the party, nail care services, temporary tattoos and makeup will be provided for attendees with the support of the Korea Henna Association and Caradi.

Sunday to Nov. 30: Grand Hyatt Seoul is offering a special package for business professionals in celebration of being voted this year’s Best Business Hotel in Seoul by Business Traveler magazine. It is the third consecutive year that the hotel has won the honor.

The Westin Chosun

Tuesday to Nov. 30: The Westin Chosun Seoul will hold a “Delicious Canadian Winter” promotion in conjunction with the Canadian Tourism Commission in Korea starting next week. The package includes all-natural Canadian dishes and a chance to win a trip to Quebec, Canada and other prizes.

Canadian cuisine will be offered at five of the hotel’s restaurants: The Ninth Gate Grille, Vecchia e Nuovo, Aria, Compass Rose and Gramercy Kitchen. The Canadian dishes will include spicy tomato soup with Canadian whiskey, Quebec-style lentil bean soup, Canadian shrimp salad and beef baguette marinated in maple syrup. Canadian beer and desserts also will be offered.

Additionally, Canadian cooking classes will be held for Westin Chosun Seoul VIP members.
