Fukuoka team considering regular season match in Korea
The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of the Nippon Professional Baseball league are looking into holding a regular season game in 2011 in Korea, according to Sports Hochi. The news comes after SoftBank signed Korean third baseman Lee Bum-ho to a two-year deal, with an option for a third year, on Thursday. The likely candidates for the game include Seoul, Daejeon - home of Lee’s former team, the Hanwha Eagles - and Busan.“We have held games abroad in the past and Korea is an attractive market,” said a SoftBank official.
