Women’s team loses at FIBA Championship
The women’s national basketball team lost to the home team, 65-96, at the 2010 FIBA World Women’s Basketball Championship in Brno, Czech Republic, yesterday. With the loss, Korea dropped 2-2 overall. Korea currently sits fourth in Group F and is trailing Spain, Russia and the Czech Republic.Korea played Russia today and its final group game against Japan is tomorrow.
The tournament features 12 teams and Korea has managed to win two silvers (1967 and 1979) in the past.
