As many large companies in Korea are working diligently hoping for a successful hosting of the G-20 Summit and to promote their company to the world during this period, Lotte Group’s vice chairman Shin Dong-bin is on the front lines to promote his company to the world.

Shin will participate in the Seoul G-20 Business Summit, in which global CEOs will gather together to discuss world economic strategy for continuous growth through cooperation between the private sector and governmental bodies.

The Seoul G-20 Business Summit is a business forum for 120 CEOs from G-20 member countries and non-G-20 member countries.

This summit will be carried out with round table sessions with four agendas: trade and direct investment, financial stability, green development and company social responsibility. Shin will be participating in the forum and will talk about common issues among the major countries.

Lotte is currently working to resolve youth unemployment by increasing jobs in the distribution and entertainment industries, which are very powerful. Lotte has a plan to recruit 10,300 employees by the end of the year, including new staff just graduated from college, experienced workers and interns.

This is a 50 percent increase compared to last year and about 600 more jobs than what the group initially announced in August as the first cooperative win-win solution to recruit 9,700 people. Lotte is working hard so that all of its social responsibility activities that it has been promoting will bear fruit. Lotte’s subsidiary companies are also busy greeting visitors. In case of Lotte Hotel it sees the G-20 Summit as a great opportunity to promote Korean dishes to visitors. Lotte Hotel Seoul moved its Korean restaurant Mugunghwa, currently on B1 to the 38th floor, starting Nov. 3 and show off the best Korean restaurant in Seoul.

The hotel has been preparing this renewal for the past year, focusing on reopening just before the G-20 meetings. The hotel has invested more than 5 billion won in this renewal of the restaurant’s design, new menu, educating new staff and preparing for the reopening.

The new Mugunghwa, which is 712 square meters with 96 available seats, has seven private rooms and includes the main hall. The place will serve traditional Korean meals as well as 40 kinds of wine that go well with Korean dishes.

Currently the cooking and banquet team of Lotte Hotel has organized a special dream team to prepare for the G-20 Summit.

The restaurant plans to provide high quality customized service for each summit and provide perfect table settings, cooking and serving styles and even expressions on what the summit prefers.

Through this, the restaurant plans to provide the best quality food, taste and service, fit for the best banquet.
