Park Chan-ho gives cash to needy kids
Veteran Major League Baseball pitcher Park Chan-ho donated 520 million won ($457,080) and baseball equipment sponsored by Nike to needy elementary school students at a event held at the Lotte Hotel in central Seoul, yesterday.The free agent pitcher played for the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates last season and nabbed the top spot for career wins by an Asian-born pitcher with 124.
Park has been helping youth baseball players for the past 12 years. This year’s donation will go toward helping 118 elementary school players.
