New demands from Kara group

Three members of Kara who are currently involved in a dispute with their management company, DSP Media, have new conditions they want met before returning to the group.

Yesterday, a lawyer for Kara members Han Seung-yeon, Jung Nicole and Kang Ji-young said they don’t want the wife of DSP Media head Lee Hyo-yeon, who has been in the hospital since last year, managing Kara’s affairs. “[She] shouldn’t be managing Kara,” the lawyer said. “Kara should have a new management team.”

The group’s legal representative also revealed yesterday that Goo Ha-ra, who was part of the original dispute, returned to the company on Wednesday after a meeting with Kara members on Saturday. At the meeting, all five Kara members agreed not to disband, the lawyer said.

The fifth member, Park Gu-ri, is not part of the legal dispute.

In response to the new demands, DSP Media said yesterday that it is open to resolving the dispute but that some of the conditions will be impossible to fulfill, according to Internet newspaper Newsen.

카라 3인이 소속사 DSP미디어에 복귀 전 선결조건으로 '경영진 교체' 등을 요구할 것으로 알려졌다.
