Kim Jang-hoon launches ‘Truth of Dokdo’ smartphone app

Singer Kim Jang-hoon has successfully launched the Truth of Dokdo application for smartphones in a bid to increase awareness of Korea’s sovereignty over the Dokdo islets.

Korean sovereignty. The sovereignty of the Dokdo islets has long been disputed between Korea and Japan.

The smartphone application has been partly completed and is available for iPhones and Android-based smartphones. The singer-turned-activist has been advocating Korea’s ownership of Dokdo for some time, and the official sister website to his smartphone application has already garnered 1 million views. Through his Cyworld page, Kim said that he hopes the application will help others become “better informed and … able to use their smartphones to explain to foreigners what the fuss is in a precise and logical way.”
