Photo of Kang Yumi’s plastic surgery online

A picture of comedienne Kang Yumi taken at a cosmetic surgery clinic has surfaced on the hospital’s Web site

On Dec. 10, ID Hospital’s homepage featured a picture of the celebrity taken with the hospital’s director, Dr. Park Sang-hoon. The hospital is renowned in the field of facial bone reconstruction, especially for correction of protruding jaws. The caption under the picture read “Kang Yumi stopped by the hospital upon her return from the U.S. for a check up on her mouth protrusion surgery.”
The post also thanked Kang for choosing the clinic over other competitors.

In the picture, the entertainer looks remarkably different from her former self as she is pictured with a slim face line, lower cheekbones and a feminine and smaller mouth area. Netizens were quick to respond with comments like, “Of this year’s celebrity cosmetic surgeries, this is the best,” “I don’t think she has a future in comedy anymore” and “She’s a chic New Yorker now.”

Kang left the entertainment industry temporarily to pursue studies in the United States. She has returned for the winter break and will feature on tvN’s “Comedy Big League” on Dec. 24.
