Ulala Session puts on first concert

The winning group of the singing audition show “Super Star K 3” Ulala Session held their first concert Thursday. The two-and-a-half-hour show titled “Vega Culture Project #2” took place just three days prior to Christmas at Ax-Korea in Gwangjang-dong, eastern Seoul.

Tickets sold out and fans who couldn’t get in cheered from outside the venue. The band performed various cover songs from Journey’s “Open Arms” to Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” with the help of Christina from “Super Star K 3.” Members also took to the stage as solo acts and one memorable performance was a dance act by the group’s leader Lim Yoon-taek. The dance was performed with back-up dancers and was touching due to the fact that Lim is currently battling stomach cancer. In a prerecorded video message for fans, Lim said he wanted to sing and dance for as long as he lives.

“Why me? I kept asking myself. Nevertheless we made it here and despite what happens I will keep doing what I love best. Nothing can stop us,” said Lim.

Guest performances by hip-hop band Dynamic Duo and solo artist Simon D also made the night memorable.
