Twin actresses face assault charges

On Dec. 26, twin actresses Bi-Ryoo and On-jo (real names Lee Eun-joo and Lee Eun-sil) were charged for assaulting a taxi driver during the early morning.

The victim said that the two actresses hailed a cab near Sinchon Station and asked to be taken to Jamsil in southern Seoul. The taxi driver said that during the journey, the two kept acting up in the car in a drunken state, and when the driver asked for them to stop, the two began kicking and punching the driver.

The driver then stopped the car and asked for help from another taxi passing by.
In an interview with local media, the driver said, “They started assaulting me with their heels while I was driving, and they reeked of alcohol.”

The victim also showed his bruised hands as evidence of the alleged attack.

Meanwhile, the twins claimed that the driver initiated the drama by refusing to start driving and then hitting one of their legs.

The Songpa District police said that they will view the black box of the taxi that came to the aid of the assaulted driver.

Bi-Ryoo and On-jo rose to fame in the movie “Take Care of My Cat” in 2001 starring actress Bae Doona. Since then, the sisters have played various television and movie roles.
