Wonder Girls’ television movie to air in the U.S. in February.

“The Wonder Girls,” the part-reality, part-fiction movie that chronicles the journey of K-pop group Wonder Girls as they have a crack at the American music market will air in the United States in February.
The band’s agency JYP Entertainment announced on Dec. 3 that the movie made for television will air through the American cable TV channel Teen Nick.
The agency added, “The movie was produced by the approval of Mariah Carey’s husband Nick Cannon, who is also the channel’s president. The band will be the first Asian group to star in a television movie made for the American audience.”

“The Wonder Girls” movie will incorporate a lot of episodes the band has actually encountered as well as fictional scenarios that might happen to similar bands. “It’s part reality and part fiction, which makes the show a lot more interesting,” said JYP Entertainment.

In addition to the movie, the band will also be present at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Jan. 11 and will unveil their new music video “The DJ Is Mine”, also serving as the television film’s theme song. Along with the girls of the group, band’s producer Park Jin-young and Nick Cannon from Teen Nick will be present at the event running from Jan. 10 to 13.
