Comedian becomes a father after four months of marriage

Comedian Song Jun-geun has become a father, just four months after he tied the knot to his girlfriend. Local media reported that on Jan. 25, the entertainer, best known for his stint the comedy show “Gag Concert” has become the proud father of a baby girl. Although the newborn’s name has yet to be announced, both the child and mother are thought to be doing fine in hospital.

The 31-year old celebrity married his girlfriend of three years at a ceremony in Gangnam, southern Seoul on Sep. 10. It was reported that Song met his bride through fellow comedian Heo Kyeong-hwan, also from “Gag Concert.”
At a press conference held at his wedding reception, the funnyman said that everything was prepared for the couple’s new household. In addition he announced that, “The baby is growing well and quickly,” revealing for the first time that the bride was pregnant.

Upon the news of the birth on Jan. 26, netizens and fans alike were quick congratulate the new father with comments such as “That was the quickest birth every!” and “Congratulations on becoming a doting dad.”
