Beast member designs towel freebie for fans

Yang Yo-seob of boy band Beast has designed a commemorative towel to dispense at the band’s concert in Seoul on Feb. 4.

The towel, depicting an illustration that Yang drew himself, will be a souvenir for the Korean fans as the band embarks on its first world wide concert.
Some 100 towels, emblazoned with the slogan “Beauty is the best,” will be handed out. Beauty is the name of the band’s official fan club.

“It’s not a masterpiece of a drawing, but still it’s an artwork that Yang thought of himself and spent a lot of time on to surprise the fans,” explained a band representative on Jan.30.

Beast is well known for their impeccable “fan service.” At previous gigs, fellow member Son Dong-woon has placed stickers on drink bottles to distribute to fans, while in winter, he drew from his own expenses to give out disposable hand warmers.

Following the concert in Seoul, the K-pop act will tour the rest of Asia, Europe and South America, treating fans with their newest song, “I Knew It,” due for release in eight months.
