Kim Jae-joong beats Justin Bieber at Shorty Awards

Hallyu star Kim Jae-joong from has overtaken U.S. pop stars Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez in becoming the best celebrity Twitter according to the Shorty Awards.

The Shorty Awards, also known as the Shorties, are an awards event that honors top short-form content creators in the Twitterverse.

There are more than 26 categories ranging from health to politics to music and this is the second year in a row that Kim has come first in the celebrity category.
By doing so, Kim beat Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez to name a few of the top celebrity twitters with the best tweets.

The winners get selected by fans through Twitter and the Shorty Awards website. From a pool of candidates, a winner is then decided by members of The Real Time Academy of Short Form Arts & Sciences.

Winners from each category will collect their awards at a March ceremony in New York, where they must deliver their thank you speech in 140 characters or less.
