KARA shows the Oricon daily chart who’s boss

KARA has again proven its popularity in Japan as its new single, “Speed Up/Girls Power,” reached the No. 2 spot on the daily Oricon singles chart on March 21, the day of its release.

More than 21,352 copies were sold during the first day of sales, according to Oricon.

“Speed Up” is a sexy, upbeat electronic tune that was produced by the R&B singer-songwriter who had previously written Big Bang’s “Gara Gara Go.”
“Girls Power,” written by Sweetune, is a piece of medium tempo that aims to capture the essence of the girl group’s cute and lovable personality.
In order to promote both songs, the album’s jacket has a reversible cover.

KARA is set to tour Japan throughout April.
