Actress Clara donates photos to help the homeless
Clara donated portrait rights and finished a photo shoot on Sunday in one of the neighborhood cafes near Hongik University.
She agreed with the mission of “Big Issue,” an entertainment magazine, which helps the homeless become independent. Without revealing too much skin, Clara participated in the photo shoot with a cheerful look from beginning to end.
“I wanted to give a little help for people [in difficult situations],” said Clara in an interview at the café.
This was Clara’s second photo-shoot donation after photos of her were published in the September edition for “Animal Magazine” last month.
She recently donated 15.7 million won ($14,509) to Community Chest of Korea in Fruit of Love Building in Jung District, central Seoul, to support breast reconstruction surgeries for low-income women. Clara
donated 10 million won and netizens joined to donate 5.7 million won.
She is also sponsoring a half-tuition project, which started last month.
Sponsoring companies will support the half-tuition program when a person presses the “like” button or comments on Clara’s Facebook. Clara models for companies that support the half-tuition program that
gives opportunities to about three students.
“Due to her own intention, she will do her best for constant donation,” said the agency.
The “Big Issue” magazine with Clara’s photos will be published early October.
Meanwhile, Clara has been embroiled in controversy over her strange remarks on entertainment shows such as KBS’s “Happy Together 3” and MBC’s “Radio Star.” She currently appears on the SBS drama “Goddess of Marriage” and tvN’s “SNL Korea” as a regular cast member.
