A new bride for classic tale

Korean actors Jo Jung-suk and Shin Min-A will appear as a married couple in the film “My Love, My Bride,” the production company Cineguru announced on its homepage yesterday.

The movie is said to be a remake version of Lee Myung-se’s 1990 film of the same title, which starred Park Joong-hoon and the late actress Choi Jin-sil.

The story is about a newly married couple struggling to make their marriage work.

Jo, 33, appeared as a supporting actor in the 2012 movie “Architecture 101” and has been gaining popularity since. In 2013 he appeared in the hit “The Face Reader,“ which starred many renowned Korean actors, including Song Kang-ho and Kim Hye-soo.

Shin recently finished filming a movie, which is tentatively titled “Gyeongju,” about a short trip to the historical North Gyeongsang city of the same name. Actor Park Hae-il appears as the male lead role.

“My Love, My Bride” is supposed to start shooting in February and aims to be released in the latter half of the year.
