Jung Woo-sung and Kim Ha-neul

After years of toiling in the action and noir genres, actor Jung Woo-sung’s new film is all about romance.

According to local media reports, Jung will be starring in a film tentatively entitled “Forget Me Not” with actress Kim Ha-neul of the 2012 SBS drama “Gentleman’s Dignity.”

News about the upcoming film attracted a huge amount of attention, especially after Jung was spotted filming the movie in Sangam-dong, western Seoul at the beginning of the month.

The film is based on director Lee Yoon-jung’s 2011 short film “Remember O Goddess,” which won recognition at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, New York International Film Festival and San Diego Asian American Film Festival in that year. For the 2014 version, Lee will transform the story about a mysterious memory loss into feature film length.

After making his debut in the 1994 film “Gumiho,” Jung starred in many successful films, including “Beat” (1997), “The Good, the Bad, the Weird” (2008) and last year’s “Cold Eyes,” which attracted over 5.5 million viewers.

His latest action film “The Divine Move” will hit local cinemas on July 3.
