Lee Yun-ji to marry longtime friend

Actress Lee Yun-ji is set to marry in September to a friend she has known for about a decade, her agency said.

The wedding is scheduled to be held on Sept. 27 at 63 Building in Yeouido, western Seoul, and will be closed to the public.

It has been only about four months since the actress’s relationship with her current fiance blossomed from friendship into romantic love, according to her agency, Namoo Actors.

“Because they have known each other for a long time, they have grown to trust each other, and the idea of getting married just came naturally,” the agency said in a release.

Lee’s husband-to-be is 33 years old, three years her senior. He works as a dentist.

Details about the wedding have not been confirmed. The couple is still deciding who will officiate the wedding and who will sing a congratulatory song.

“We want fans to show their love and encouragement, as Lee is about to take a leap to start a new life,” the agency said.

“She will also continue to show her due diligence on her work as an actress, and the agency will also support her.”
