EunB, a member of girl group Ladies’ Code, died around 1:30 a.m. yesterday in a car accident on Youngdong Highway near Yongin, Gyeonggi, police said.

EunB, whose real name is Koh Eun-bi, was 21 years old.

Sojung and RiSe, two of the five members, have reportedly suffered severe injuries as well. RiSe in particular is in critical condition, the group’s agency said, adding that she is currently in the intensive care unit after undergoing a series of surgeries that lasted more than nine hours.

Members Ashley and Zuny are also being treated at a hospital with minor injuries.

The van that the group was riding in lost control and crashed into a wall, according to local media reports.

The police are looking into whether the driver, only known by his surname Park, was negligent, but are leaning toward the conclusion that the crash was because of the slippery road, reports said.

Ladies’ Code was returning to Seoul after an event in Daegu, their agency said.

Following its debut last year, the group released a new song, “Kiss Kiss,” early last month.
