Jin Goo marries a non-celebrity

Actor Jin Goo, 34, tied the knot yesterday in Gangnam District, southern Seoul, with a non-celebrity four years his junior.

Local media noted that Jin first mentioned his bride on the popular MBC entertainment show “Infinite Challenge” last winter, when the actor was quoted as saying: “Actually, I’ve had a crush for a while, but I wasn’t able to confess my true feelings to her. I’m kind of an introverted person.”

Jin announced his wedding plans in May, a month after he made his relationship public.

The wedding was held privately and without a press conference, but local news outlet Star News quoted an insider from the actor’s agency, BH Entertainment, saying that the nuptial song was performed by singers Lee Jung, Gummy, Choi Hyun-joon from V.O.S. and Lee Jin-seong from Monday Kiz.

Many Koreans still recognize Jin from the 2003 drama “All In,” on which he played the younger version of Lee Byung-hun’s character. His latest work “Roaring Currents” (2014) has turned out to be a huge hit, with the domestic blockbuster garnering more than 17 million views since its release.
