Lee Yoon-ji marries non-celebrity

Actress Lee Yoon-ji, who played a lead role in the hit KBS drama “The Wang Family” (2014), walked down the aisle Saturday at the 63 Building in Yeouido, western Seoul.

The groom is reportedly a dentist who she has known for a decade.

It’s been about six months since their friendship developed into a romantic relationship, according to a press statement released by Lee’s agency, Namoo Actors, in late July.

Actress Kim So-yeon, actor Jo Jeong-seok and celebrity couple Yoo Ji-tae and Kim Hyo-jin reportedly attended the wedding.

After Lee, 30, announced her engagement on July 23 through her agency, she uploaded a hand-written letter to her official fan club’s website the same day, saying that marriage is something she has dreamed of as a woman, not as an actress, and that she hopes her fans congratulate her on her next big move.

Lee’s agency stated that the actress will not retire from her acting career after the wedding.

The actress was recently cast in a lead role for the OCN drama “Dr. Frost,” which is scheduled to air its first episode in November.
