New album for Lee Seung-gi

Singer-actor Lee Seung-gi will release a new album in March.

Lee, who is currently promoting his new film “Today’s Love,” recently told a local news agency WHICH ONE that he is currently recording songs for his new album.

“Kim Dong-ryul introduced me to this musician, who is my role model, and I came to work with him,” he said in the interview.

Lee’s last album came out in 2012.

“?‘Return,’ [a track] from the previous album, was popular especially among female fans. This time, I also want to make an album that can appeal to female fans.”

Lee added that veteran singer Lee Sun-hee participated in the making of his new album as a vocal director.

Lee Seung-gi debuted as a professional singer thanks to the experienced singer because she scouted him when he was an ordinary high school student.

Lee Seung-gi first started out in music as a singer in 2004 but later began pursuing acting and now works in both industries.

His first film, which was released on Thursday at theaters nationwide, has topped the box office, pushing aside “Ode to My Father,” which has attracted more than 10 million moviegoers.
