Lee Min-ho’s single album No. 2 in Japan

Korean Wave actor Lee Min-ho’s single album “The Day” ranked second on the Oricon Singles Chart in Japan on Wednesday.

Starhaus Entertainment, which represents the 28-year-old actor, said the digital single album was released on Nov. 30 in Japan.

The agency noted that Lee’s album came in just below Japanese girl group Nogizaka46 by a narrow margin.

The same digital single album was also released in China on Nov. 25. “The Day” has two tracks and will be released in other countries on Friday.

Although Lee’s main focus is acting, he has been releasing albums for fans.

The actor, who is immensely popular especially in Japan and China, will hold a talk concert in Korea on Jan. 16.

A talk concert refers to a paid appearance by a celebrity who doesn’t usually sing, but Lee will sing for his fans. The talk concert is the first for Lee in Korea in two years.

The concert, called “Minoz Mansion,” will be held at the Grand Peace Hall of Kyung Hee University in Dongdaemun District, central Seoul.

Tickets went on sale late last month, and the agency said all 3,000 seats sold out within a minute.
