Ranger Choo Shin-soo hits

seventh homer this season

Texas Rangers outfielder Choo Shin-soo belted his seventh home run of the season on Wednesday.

Batting leadoff during the Rangers’ 7-2 win over the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston, Choo cranked the first pitch by Red Sox David Price over the center fence. This was his fourth leadoff homer this season.

After going 2-for-3 with one run and one run batted in, Choo was relieved with tightness in his lower back.

FIFA World Cup ticket prices pass $1,000 for first time

MOSCOW - World Cup ticket prices have broken the $1,000 barrier for the first time.

FIFA said Tuesday that the top price for the 2018 final in Moscow will be $1,100, up from $990 for the 2014 final in Rio de Janeiro. Other tickets for the final will cost $710 and $455, with additional category 4 tickets - which are sold exclusively to Russian residents - costing 7,040 rubles or about $110.
